A supportive environment that can provide strength-based techniques for those dealing with mental health concerns in our community.

We provide mental health support through group sessions on diverse topics as well as individual short-term therapeutic interventions. Our services focus on depression, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ support, and we will provide additional resources to encourage continued use of the strategies discussed in the sessions. For those needing long-term therapeutic intervention or other support outside of our scope, we will make referrals to the appropriate organizations that can help support a more complete well-being.

Why is this needed?

Acknowledging our need for mental health support is often seen as a weakness. According to the American Psychiatric Association, less than 50% of people will seek treatment for a mental illness. Providing affordable, safe, positive access is key to helping change the stigma and increasing the number of persons receiving support. The vast need for mental health services within our local community is not being met. A Center of Grace aims to meet this need because better mental health creates better physical health and promotes self-sufficiency. This in turn makes our community healthier, stronger, and more supportive of one another.

Who is this for?

We serve each person that seeks support. Reaching out is the first step and the hardest step. We all have challenges in our lives that may need an additional support network to be able to manage or work through. A Center of Grace utilizes the strength of each person to empower their own journey and inspire others to start theirs.

What is this experience like?

There will be little to no cost for participants. Our facilitators are diverse, and there will be evening sessions with childcare available to make support more accessible for all. Materials will be provided to keep for reference throughout the sessions. Read below for the opportunities coming up this fall.
