Seekers & Skeptics is a space to explore where many of us find ourselves: asking questions, rethinking what we’ve been taught, searching for something more, and learning to trust again.
We are committed to being different.
We know that many people have felt excluded, harmed, or overlooked in religious spaces – especially in communities that say “all are welcome” but place conditions on who can fully belong. We are committed to being different. You don’t have to have it figured out or fit a certain mold to be here.
You might feel at home here if you are:
- Deconstructing beliefs that no longer feel true or life-giving
- Reconstructing or reimagining your understanding of faith
- Unsure what you believe, but still asking questions
- Curious about spirituality but hesitant about traditional church
- LGBTQ+ and looking for a space where you don’t have to hide
- Navigating disability, neurodivergence, or feeling overlooked in church spaces
- Wanting to explore how faith connects to real life

Explore at Your Own Pace
You don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for to take a first step. You’re welcome to come once, ask a question, or just get a feel for things. We offer a mix of spaces you can step into as you’re ready:
- Pub Theology – casual, guided conversations in a relaxed setting
- Small Groups – ongoing space for deeper reflection and connection
- Workshops & Short-Term Classes – focused explorations of topics around faith, identity, and spirituality
- Community Gatherings – simple ways to connect beyond structured conversations
You’re free to participate in whatever feels right. Come once or come often.

Amber Baker
Minister of Seekers & Skeptics
Amber Baker (she/they) is the Minister of Seekers & Skeptics and a student at Brite Divinity School. They create spaces for honest spiritual exploration, especially for those who have felt excluded, harmed, or overlooked in traditional church settings. As a former speech-language pathologist, their approach is shaped by a deep attention to how people communicate, process, and engage – creating spaces that are accessible, respectful, and grounded in real human experience.
