SUMMARY:Holiday Meal Drive
DESCRIPTION:This holiday season\, Grace Avenue is working to provide supplies for those in our community to make holiday meals for their families. These boxes will go to families in our English as a Second Language (ESL) program\, those we serve through the Feed My Sheep food pantry with Building the Bridges\, as well as those who need additional support in our Grace Avenue and Grace Chapel communities. \nSign up to help us meet our goal of 125 boxes. You can pick up a list of foods and a cardboard box in the church office hallway by the Learning Center Lobby (next to Keri’s office) beginning Sunday\, October 11. The list of foods is also provided at the sign up link. It includes things like stuffing mix\, canned vegetables\, pie filling\, seasonings\, and other items necessary to make a full meal for the holidays. \nPurchase all the items on the list\, place them inside the box\, and tape the list to the outside of the box. One Box per meal – it’s okay if you cannot close it when you drop it off. \nDrop off boxes by the World Map whenever filled by Sunday\, November 8. \nContact Keri Keck at keri@graceavenue.org with questions.

SUMMARY:Improve Your Balance Class
DESCRIPTION:More than 1 in 4 Seniors over 65 experience a fall each year. To help you prevent falls\, Jennifer & Courtney\, Certified Personal Trainers from our Frisco YMCA are returning to lead a 4-week class designed for Seniors\, to help you improve your full body strength\, coordination\, and balance. This gentle\, low-impact class is designed for older adults using balls/bands\, bodyweight exercises\, and optional chair support. Movements can be tailored to individuals’ ability\, promoting confidence\, mobility\, and overall well-being in a safe and supportive environment. \nSuggested donation is $10 to help cover the cost of the trainers.
