November 15 is America Recycles Day, and we are celebrating with our friends at M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi, the School of Islamic Sufism in Frisco. At this Sustainability Seminar Luncheon, we will hear from Frisco Environmental Services about the importance of recycling, waste management, clean waterways, and understanding how we can prevent pollutants from impacting our community. Our pastor, Rev. Billy Echols-Richter, will be there to speak about how we have incorporated sustainability practices through our Creation Care ministry. There will also be an opportunity to support Frisco Family Services by bringing gently used clothing and household items that they will distribute to families in need across Frisco.
RSVP by November 11 to internal.sustainability@mfo.org. The dress code is business casual, and we suggest wearing shoes with socks as you will be asked to remove your shoes on carpeted areas. Contact Deborah Bouis at dabouis@yahoo.com with questions.
