At Grace Avenue, we believe music and art are essential in expressing our faith. Our Worship Arts ministry provides a sense of belonging and purpose for all ages in our church and in our community.

Worship Arts includes more than just music; whether you are a visual artist, dancer, musician, tech person, or poet, we would love to hear from you. If you have the desire to create, we will find a place for you to connect.

Sunday Mornings

The adult choir leads worship each Sunday in the 10:30am Sanctuary service and occasionally in the 9:15am service. They present 2-3 major programs each year with an orchestra in addition to community events. The Sanctuary choir truly creates a community of members who support each other through all seasons and have fun along the way.

  • Rehearsals: Wednesdays | 7:00-8:30pm | Music Suite

Songbirds is a wonderful opportunity for children from Kindergarten through 5th Grade to be a part of worship at Grace Avenue. Songbirds rehearsals take place during the 9:15am Sunday School hour. Children begin with music and then move into group lesson time.

The Wire Choir is an ensemble open to stringed instruments of any kind! If you play guitar, bass, banjo, ukulele, violin, etc, you are invited to join this eclectic band of strummers. This is an intergenerational group, so all ages are welcome to participate.

YES! We will offer two different formats and lessons.

During the 9:15am, hour we offer two different expressions of worship. You can attend Worship in the Sanctuary or A Different Door in the Worship Center. Head to graceavenue.org/congregations to learn more about these services.

You can also participate in one of the adult groups or studies that take place at 9:15. Head to graceavenue.org/adults to learn more about the Sunday Groups and what studies are currently being offered.

Not a problem. Although we would love to have your child in attendance every Sunday, we know that is not always possible. We ask that you be present as often as you can.

They will attend Sunday School as they always have. Those who only want to participate in Sunday School will gather in the EDGE Room at 9:15am and then separate into a different room for a lesson and activities.

Miss Olivia received her Choral Music Education Degree from the University of North Texas in 2025. She has been singing with the Grace Avenue Sanctuary Choir since 2023, and she teaches music lessons at the School of Music at Grace Avenue. Olivia has a passion for sharing the power of music with children, and we are so grateful for her leadership at Grace Avenue. You can get in contact with Olivia by emailing her at olivia@graceavenue.org.

Handbell choirs are a centuries-old tradition in churches around the world, but they’re not as intimidating as they sound! Even if you have zero musical experience, the bells are a great way to get involved in Worship Arts. Our bell choir plays often in worship, and we are always looking for new ringers and substitutes.

Looking for a way to share your creative gifts in Modern Worship? Whether it’s musical talents, visual artistry, or technical skills, our Director of Modern Worship, Vaughn Faison, would be happy to see how you can best serve in Modern Worship. Reach out to him at vaughn@graceavenue.org to set up a meeting or audition.

Are you good with technology or looking to build a new skill? We always need volunteers in the media booths on Sunday mornings! Whether you can click a button to change the slides, monitor the cameras for the best angle, or know how to balance a sound board, there are jobs for every skill level. Contact our Director of Media, Preston Reid, to volunteer. You can email him at preston@graceavenue.org
